The property
The Kastanjen property was built in 1981, and is located in Midsommarkransen, Hägersten. The student apartments, which make up one of the buildings in the property, are on Vattenledningsvägen 28. The property is situated in an area with a variety of different buildings. Many apartments have a wonderful view of the city. Midsommarkransen’s subway station is just a 5-minute walk away.
Rental agreement
The rental agreement is for a fixed period of time, since the property is due to be converted back into care accommodation during the second half of 2012. When the tenant signs the rental agreement with Micasa Fastigheter he or she must also waive their right to security of tenure in a separate document that will be approved by the Rent and Leasehold Tribunal. A mutual notice period of three calendar months applies. The housing is being made available as temporary, substitute accommodation, on the condition that the tenant is studying at university or college. The tenant is not entitled to assign the right of tenancy to anyone else.
Moving in
The first apartments at Kastanjen will be available as of 1 November 2008. Other apartments will be renovated during the fall and winter, and tenants will be able to move in as soon as they are completed.

All the apartments have shower rooms, kitchens and balconies. They have an attractive layout, with nooks and corners.

Rent level
The rent (Nov 2008) is SEK 4,346–5,450 per month. Electricity is included in the rent.
Internet
Internet access is available. 7-10Mbit/s downloading speed and 0.7-1Mbit/s uploading speed is included in the rent. This can be upgraded to 24/1 and even 50/10 in future, for a very reasonable price.
Access
There are lifts, but no other adaptations for disabled tenants.
Garage
There are garage spaces available for hire via Stockholm Stads Parkering.
Neighborhood and services
Kastanjen is around 400 meters away from Midsommarkransen on the subway’s red line in the direction of Fruängen. The journey to T-centralen takes approximately 20 minutes.
