Conference Venue

The hotel is also the conference venue and is located in the Kungsholmen neighbourhood of Stockholm, within walking distance of the city centre and next door to one of the city's main metro stations. Access from both Stockholm Arlanda International Airport and Stockholm Bromma Airport is easy and uncomplicated. The hotel's Björk Bar and Grill offers a casual dining experience centered around well-prepared quality fresh ingredients in a comfortable setting. Badges
Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons all participants are requested to wear their badge during all the Conference activities and social events. The cost for replacing a lost badge is SEK 100.
Banks, Credit Cards and Currency Exchange
Banks are open between 09.30/10.00 and 15.00 on weekdays. Some banks in central Stockholm are open from 09.00 to 17.00. Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, restaurants, taxis and shops. It is advisable to carry an identity card or any form of photo identification.
The official currency is Swedish Krona (SEK).

Climate and Dress
The weather in Stockholm at this time of the year is usually warm and sunny with temperatures of approximately 15-20 degrees Celsius; showers may occur. Informal dress is recommended.

Electricity
Electrical current in Sweden is 220 V/50 Hz. Round; European-style two-pin plugs are used. Appliances designed to operate on 110/120 Volts need a voltage converter and a plug adapter.
European Green Capital
Stockholm is the first city to be awarded European Green Capital, 2010, by the European Commission. The award marks a city's wish and capability to solve environmental problems in order to both improve the quality of life of its citizens and reduce the contribution it makes to the global environment as a whole. Everything from water protection plans, to public transport and work to omit fossil fuel emissions was reviewed. In all aspects, Stockholm is considered a front-runner.

Daily Tea/Coffee and Lunch Thursday 27, are included in the registration fee.
On-site Registration at the Venue
On-site registration will take place on the premises and opening hours will be available, and published on the website, in a near future. The Conference secretariat will be open for the duration of the Conference.
Stockholm Card
The Stockholm card may be purchased, at a discount, on the on-line registration and will be handed out upon registration at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

Time Zone
The time zone in Stockholm is GMT + 1 hour. Daylight Saving Time is used during the summer.
Tipping
A gratuity is included in the price of hotels and taxis. When visiting restaurants, you can show your appreciation for good service by leaving a little extra (approx. 10%).

Transportation - Arrival at Arlanda Airport
Arlanda Airport is located 40 km north of Stockholm. The airport express train, Arlanda Express, is the fastest and most environmentally friendly way of travelling between Arlanda Airport and Stockholm City. The journey only takes 20 minutes and trains depart four to six times per hour.
EAHSA2010 has negotiated extra valuable prices for you and these are available from the on-line registration form. You may naturally buy your ticket in the ticket machine on the platform before boarding the train, with cash or credit card; these ticket prices however are not negotiated.
Airport coaches, Flygbussarna, leave Arlanda Airport every 5-10 minutes for the City Terminal in the centre Stockholm. The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes, makes several stops along the route, and costs SEK 119 (January, 2010), Internet price 99 SEK. Please visit www.flygbussarna.se for further information. Tickets may be purchased on board the bus or in the Terminal buildings by cash or credit card.
Taxis are available outside the arrival hall at Arlanda Airport. Prices may vary considerably, so you are advised to ask for the price before entering the taxi. Many taxi companies offer a fixed price of SEK 495 from Arlanda Airport to Stockholm city centre and the driver is obliged to give you a printed receipt upon request (October, 2009). The recommended taxis are Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir, Taxi 020 and Taxi Transfer, which are all located in separate sections at the Airport and at the Central Station. All major credit cards are accepted as payment for taxis.
Transportation - Arrival at Bromma Airport
Airport coaches, Flygbussarna, leave Bromma Airport for the City Terminal in central Stockholm. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes and costs SEK 79 (JAnuary, 2010). Please visit www.flygbussarna.se for further information.

Transportation - Arrival at Skavsta Airport
(Nyköping’s Domestic/International Airport)
Skavsta is located 100 kilometers south of Stockholm and is used by low-fare airlines. Airport coaches for Stockholm City Terminal takes about 80 minutes and cost SEK 250. Taking a taxi to Stockholm takes about 60 minutes and cost around SEK 1300. For more information, please visit www.skavsta.se.
VAT Refund Conditions
Swedish VAT, currently 6%, 12% and 25% may be reclaimed by foreign enterprises, except banks and insurance companies, or companies providing health care or education. Information about the refunding of VAT will be available at www.skatteverket.se
